Traci’s formative years were spent as the Design Director at a large interior design firm in Atlanta for 18 years before pursuing her dream of her own firm. Traci Rhoads Interiors was established in 2007 and their talents include everything from design conceptualization, planning, and project management to procurement services. Traci and her design team bring a comprehensive knowledge of interior architecture combined with decorative arts to the design project.

emilee grace totten // Senior Designer
From a very young age, Emilee always had a passion for art and design. Having the natural ability to recognize architectural beauty and artistic harmony in her surroundings, Emilee pursued photography and painting. These creative outlets allowed Emilee to immerse herself in the world of color and design. As she progressed through school, Emilee developed an appreciation for math and symmetry as well, leading her to pursue a career in Interior Design.
Emilee earned a bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of Georgia and has 6+ years of professional and academic experience utilizing various software programs to create complete drawing sets, custom designs, graphic presentations, and 3D renderings: Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit, 3DS Max) and Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).
By blending her knowledge of architectural detailing with creative interior design, Emilee is able to develop spaces that are thoughtful, functional, and most of all, beautiful.
Stacy axel // purchasing manager
Stacy grew up in the small town of Americus, GA and moved to Atlanta with her family when she was 15. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Business Degree in Management and worked in the multi-family industry for 25 years. Stacy has one son, Alex, who is her rock and pride and joy. He is a successful accountant in North Carolina.
Ready for a change, Stacy helped Traci kick off her new Interior Design firm and became TRI’s Human Resources Manager, Controller, and Purchasing Manager. With a true passion for accounting, Stacy maintains a smooth-running office and thrives on multi-tasking.
Kathleen Knowles // Design Assistant
A lover of all things design, decorating, and DIY, Kathleen Knowles got her start in interior design as a writer and editor at HGTV Magazine in New York, NY. She wrote house tours, kitchen tours, and covered every topic within the home sphere from paint colors to design trends to holiday decorating. She also assisted with styling on photo shoots and recently began a certification in Residential Interior Design at Kennesaw State University.
Kathleen has a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Affairs and a minor in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Georgia. She received a Master of Arts in Magazine Journalism from New York University. Obsessed with mocking up layouts and creating boards for her dream home on Pinterest, Kathleen is thrilled to transition from writing about design to executing it and can’t wait to test her skills on her own condo in Atlanta.
